Polish 1

This Polish Club has 3 variants:

  • 12–14, 2–4, 2–4, 2–4, 2–4
  • 11–17, 5+ or 4414
  • 18+, not suitable for 1

Note that 2 is no longer natural since Polish Club 2020: Expert. 1 takes care of all -suited hands.

I move diamond invitation down to 1-2 in case of a misfit. Strong balanced hands go to 1-3 and 1-1.

I also swap 1-2 because the potential club fit saves bidding space. On the other hand, the diamond suit requires more space to explore a fit.

Game-forcing responses simplify to corresponding invitations. Preempts also become invitations due to failure to open.
